King’s School and Nursery in Plymouth is a co-educational independent school for children aged 8 months up to 11 years old. We provide a complete education in a warm and nurturing environment.
Our strong sense of family and community, where each child is guided and encouraged to aim high and do their best both academically and personally, is something we are very proud of. Good manners and thoughtfulness for others are core values and children learn to take responsibility whilst gaining in self-confidence, self-discipline and maturity.
Inspection Report 2024
In our March 2024 ISI Inspection King’s School and Nursery met every Standard and achieved an Outstanding in all areas for our Nursery.
The five areas assessed were:

4th Plymouth Schools Chess Tournament ♟️ ✨
Four pupils from Year 2 and Year 3 represented King’s School Chess Tournament- the largest team from any participating school.
Congratulations to our Year 3 pupil, who won the under 9 title after winning 5 of his 6 matches.
We are also proud of our other three competitors, who each received certificates for their excellent efforts. It was a fantastic event, and all of our pupils represented King’s School brilliantly. 🌟
