Welcome to King's School & Nursery
King’s School and Nursery in Plymouth is a co-educational independent school for children aged 8 months up to 11 years old. We provide a complete education in a warm and nurturing environment.
Our strong sense of family and community, where each child is guided and encouraged to aim high and do their best both academically and personally, is something we are very proud of. Good manners and thoughtfulness for others are core values and children learn to take responsibility whilst gaining in self-confidence, self-discipline and maturity.
Inspection Report 2024
In our March 2024 ISI Inspection King’s School and Nursery met every Standard and achieved an Outstanding in all areas for our Nursery.
The five areas assessed were:

Year 1 had a relaxing Art lesson in the hall this week. We have been looking at artists who use flora and fauna to inspire their work. Using drawing as a way to accurately capture the way plants and insects look, then using their imagination to create their own versions of flora and fauna.

Year 6 attended an Evolution, Inheritance & Diversity workshop at The Box to learn all about how animals have evolved and adapted over time. Pupils were tasked with investigating various artefacts as well creating their very own insect.
